I got this as an "open box" item. I did not know that I needed an RF module but that only cost an extra $100. I initially regretted not getting the new Logitech universal remote. However, after getting this programmed(by a pro), I am very happy with the purchase. Unless you get the remote with the PC programming package, you will need to get someone to program it for you; that can be expensive and take a while. It cost me $100 and 2 hours. It is very easy to use and fits comfortable in my hand. I would continue to purchase URC products.

This remote is great. I've had several URC remotes in the last few years, and this one is my favorite. It's one of the only ones that allows "activity-based" function (meaning you can set it up so that you press 1 button for whatever activity you want to do, rather than just control individual devices all the time).
I only have 2 complaints. 1. The software is VERY poor. Confusing, convoluted, not intuitive at all, and makes difficult some things that should be very simple. 2. The battery doesn't last very long, so I constantly have to recharge it. If I could buy a 2nd battery, it wouldn't be a big deal, but so far I haven't been able to find one.
Overall, great remote. They REALLY need to update the software, and should make the battery a higher capacity (or sell one), or make a regular 2nd battery (and charger) available for sale.
